At the Penz Nissan the sales person was great and super generous. But the paperwork was not handled well. There was a complication with the title and when I was trying to contact the title clerk, I was not able to get in contact with that person and was never helped until I asked to speak to the manager.

I am totally pleased with my Subaru Forrester I bought in Nov 22. My sales rep Alex was amazing- our family has bought 3 Subarus from him. Very knowledgeable, genuine and quick at his job. Unfortunately, I have not had the same issue with service. The car was delivered with a big scratch. They said they would get me on the books. It took 3 months. In that 3 months I had a few accessories put on at Subaru. They installed the bug deflector wrong and scratched the hood which was found after they finished the original scratch. My car is back in now to paint the hood. I dropped it off for a scheduled appointment I made 3 months ago and 17 days later my car is still there. They painted it the first week and let it sit parked there the second week because either they didn’t have the hood decal or a person to do it. Paint job done on 6/19. I was told oil change would be done that day and I could pick it up yesterday. I said I would get it today and to call me if the oil change wasn’t done. I arrived at 5:30 today to- we were busy, you can sit and wait and we will get to it. So, you have had my car for 17 days and now I have to sit and wait while you do the scheduled service. Well, I will drive back again tomorrow to see if maybe it is done. I am not a paying customer because it is work to repair their mistake and 1 of the 2 oil changes that came with the purchase. I am sure I was last in the list to take care of. Nice people- bad service.

The amount of people working together today was prevalent throughout my experience at Subaru! Anllelica helped me from the moment I walked in until she saw me off in my new car explaining all the features and answering any questions with knowledge and efficiency. Gene took a great deal of time throughout this last week to find the perfect car for me, reflecting price, safety, fuel efficiency and just what I was looking for! As expected I saw many people during this process and they were all helpful and fun to work with from beginning to end. Main thing here ----I JUST GOT A GREAT CAR AT A GREAT PRICE---- GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE----I WILL BE BACK!!!!

Almost none of the pre-owned cars they advertise on CarMax and their website are actually available. I emailed with them, and drove an hour (each way) to test drive a couple I was interested in only to be told they weren't actually available to test drive. One was "in processing" and the others hadn't actually arrived yet but "would be coming soon". Why are they advertising cars they don't actually have? I don't know. It makes me think they probably don't thoroughly inspect them either since they're listing them for sale before it's even in their lot. I told them to contact me when they had cars with my specifications on hand to drive and never heard back. What a waste of time!

Bought a car back in March, title paperwork has been messed up 2 times and I keep getting told we will be getting it this week.... didn't show up. I'm sick of the false promises and lack of urgency of getting this handled. Stay away if your buying used cars.

Took our vehicle in to have them look at our heater blower because it was making noise when the van was warming up. When we got the call back from the dealer. They told us that the heater was completely blown and was cause by a dirty cab filter. They also said we should get our back breaks replaced. We knew they were getting close to being needing to be replaced but they said they were critical bad and we also needed to replace our front breaks cause they were bad too. All this was going to be about $1600 before taxes and fees. My wifes brother works on cars and told her he would look at it. So before paying we had them change the oil and change the cabin filter. When I picked up the car it sounded better from just replacing the cabin filter. I found out I got a $160 diagnostic fee. Which I thought was weird cause I told them what the issue was with the heater blower. But I paid it cause what can you do? We took the vehicle to my brother in laws shop to look at it. The heater blower wasn't even burned out. It was just the dirty filter and they wanted to replace it. He just cleaned it out a little, now seems better. The back breaks were in needing of being replaced but the front ones were completely fine. So he replaced the rear breaks and everything is running smooth. Also told him that they seemed to suggest because we had a dirty cabin filter it wrecked the blower motor. He laughed and says that's not how it works. So thankfully we knew someone to check this cause with parts, oil change, diagnostics and taxes would been about $2000 when all we needed was a cabin filter and rear breaks. Won't be going back.

We had our 2017 Frontier towed to Penz Nissan for clutch replacement. The truck was in their care for 3 weeks. We got zero updates, no phone calls were returned. We had to go in to get any updates. When we picked the truck up the tailgate cover was mysteriously missing and the tailgate was disconnected. They will not assume responsibility for the truck being in their care. They are pointing fingers at everyone else. We will never step foot in there again.

Love the sales guy from 5 years ago. However I struggle to understand how it consistently takes 2 hours to do an oil change and why my clear statements "I'm not interested in trading in, I want to do service by time, not by miles" is hard to understand. Do NOT purchase the prepaid service play when you buy your car here so that you can get service done some place less aggravating. I've been here 2.5 hours. My car has been "ready in 20 minutes" for over an hour. Apparently the car wash takes a half an hour. And no, when I said that I didn't want to trade it in, you probably shouldn't have called me in the lobby to ask me if I wanted an appraisal for a trade in. Please let me get back to work.

Pulled into Penz Subaru to look for a used vehicle for a family member. There was 4 or 5 employees congregating at the front of the building, I got out to look at 4 different used vehicles and not a 1 of those employees came to ask if I had questions. What makes it worse, none of their vehicles had prices on them but had a QR to scan for more info, if I wanted to view them on the website I would have stayed home and done that. Also went to the other Penz dealerships in Rochester and nobody came out there either. I won't buy from any Penz dealership in Rochester now!

Trash dealership! Talked with Anllelica via email. She sent me over a worksheet with a price. A couple days later, she sends me an email saying the exact same car is on "sale". Yeah. No. The car was $1k more. When I asked her about this, she said "If anything, this is an example of the Penz Difference and how we go above and beyond for our customers!"
