Ringing of the Bells for Salvation Army
On December 19th, we braved the cold to ring the bell for the Salvation Army. We are proud to announce that between the two different locations, the kettles raised a total of $1,046.70!
For the ones that don’t know, the Salvation Army is a nonprofit organization that provides vital services to those in need, including food assistance, shelter, and disaster relief. You can’t miss their iconic red kettles and bell ringing! Fun fact, they have been around, helping people in need for over 100 years!
Our volunteers rang the bell and spread cheer in 30-minute shifts from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. giving us 8 different groups. They greeted shoppers with smiles and many people stopped to chat and shared their holiday spirit! A few beautiful souls even told us about their own experiences with the Salvation Army and how the organization had helped them in their time of need!
We all were amazed by the generosity of our community. Many people dropped in coins and bills, and some even made larger donations. Every little bit helps, and we are so grateful for the support of our community. This money will go towards supporting the important work of the Salvation Army and making a difference in the lives of those in need.
We are already looking forward to next year’s bell ringing event and hope to see even more support from our community. Thank you to everyone who donated and to our wonderful volunteers who braved the cold to make a difference. Together, we can make a real impact in the lives of those in need!
