I had a great experience with Subaru of Rochester. Everyone was kind, professional, punctual, and fair throughout the entire process. Jordan, the salesman, was extremely helpful and made the buying experience easy and comfortable. Jeremiah, the accountant, was also great to work with and made the paperwork straightforward and hassle-free. It’s refreshing to deal with a dealership that treats its customers with respect and doesn’t make you feel pressured. I really appreciate the way I was treated and would definitely recommend Subaru of Rochester to anyone looking for a vehicle. Unlike the rushed Honda buying experience across town—where I literally spent today peeling their dealer badge off my car—Subaru actually lets you take your time. My husband and I recently bought the 2026 Crosstrek Hybrid from this Subaru dealership. From the beginning to the end, it was a very positive experience. We had done some research on the car model we were interested in and we dropped by the dealership to see if we could do test drive. Emily was so helpful and did not make us feel pressured during the process. We are so happy with our purchase and with the customer service. Everyone was so friendly!

It was a wonderful experience. Had shopped the. Internet for vehicles and pricing. Needed to physically see the different models and trim packages. We live in Red Wing and Rochester was closer. The plan was to visit different dealerships and shop. The staff and salespeople at Penz were very friendly. Not pushy. Very accommodating as we looked and test drove 4-6 vehicles. Our salesman ,Gbaorik,was very helpful. If he didn't have the answers,he sought it out quickly. He made it our experience and did a great job. The financing is a whole nother part to the buy. But, Ally,was very professional, not pushy and ww talked through what we wanted for plans and she had good feedback without making us feel uncomfortable if I said "No thanks."i It takes time to buy that car you want,but we finalized and walked out feeling good about the whole experience. It's been awhile since we did a vehicle purchase,especially new. But,they were excellent.

Excellent experience! I have told all of my friends. The customer service tops all. It's immaculate inside and they serve coffee, etc A very nice touch. They support the community in multiple facets. They are very generous to support other great causes. I am in love with my car. I hadn't originally planned on buying a Subaru but I am sold on this whole situation. And they follow up with everything. If you need a vehicle this is the place to go. Hands down. Their theme is "LOVE" and this is evident. Christianity is part of their life and it shows. I also returned to work with a professional sales man, Alex P. Great experience. My experience on March 31st with Trevor and the Service Department was wonderful. I could not have asked for a better experience. Keep up the good work. I gave told many Mankato people what a wonderful job your dealership and service department do.. Now on my third Outback from Rochester Subaru. Great experience. My salesman, Collin was wonderful and Jake the GM was very friendly and professional. It was easy to book an appointment online. I was welcomed in to the garage on time. They did a thorough assessment of my car as well as the maintenance that I had asked for. The carwash was down. They gave me a complete readout of all the systems within in my car and their status. Very satisfied.

I feel the sales and financing team at Subaru of Rochester took care of me very well. They kept me informed of the stock, and found me a 2026 Outback Limited (CPO with only 2,500 mi) I live 1 1/2 hours away, so they had it delivered to my house, and picked up my car for trade in. I've never had that option before. The convenience was great, but the down side was no one was there to explain the forms I had to fill out at the time of delivery, and so I had to do some calling. The biggest thing I didn't like was before I came to the dealership I asked them if I was to buy a car there, could I take it to any other dealership for warrenty service. They confirmed absolutely! When it came down to it, when I got on location, they clarified, I could go anywhere, but I would have to pay $100 deductible to go elsewhere for servicing.. I felt that was a "bait & switch", In the end, I used that as leverage on my deal and got that waived for the future. Hopefully there will be no "catches" to that when the event when it arrives.

Subaru of Rochester is truly a wonderful dealership!!! The staff is top notch and professional, Olivia got me into a fantastic 2021 outback that we were talking about over the weekend- said I couldn’t make it until Monday morning and was told it be cleaned and gased up for me to take for a test drive and sure enough Monday morning it was ready for me. I’ll be coming back to Subaru of Rochester for all my future vehicle needs.

Every time I get service done at this location the bar is set a little higher. Zoey is amazing and helped us navigate what was most important for regular service on our high mileage car. With money being tight these days, it is a relief to come to a business that isn’t trying to squeeze more money out of you. They work more as a trusted partner. We live 9 hours away and alway make sure we get our service done here when we are in town.

I recently purchased a 2026 GMC Sierra Denali from Penz GMC of Rochester and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. Bennett (Sales) was fantastic to work with. She was knowledgeable about the trucks features and never once made me feel pressured. When she didn't know an answer she didn't try to guess and simply went and asked the manager. Scott (Manager) did an outstanding job walking me through every line item on the proposal, including the trade in, and was patient with my questions until I felt comfortable. It was clear to me that Scott has experience, knowledge, and most importantly patience with the customer experience. Derek (Finance) is extremely knowledgeable and, at my request, moved quickly through thr paperwork but was still able to explain each step so that I understood what I was signing. I felt like I got a fair price on the new truck and trade in which was slightly favorable compared to other local dealerships that quoted me in the previous week. Its clear this team works well together and made this big purchase feel easy and fun rather than stressful.

I found the car I wanted on Cargurus and it was located at Subaru of Rochester in MN. I did everything by text. They worked with me over a couple of days to get the deal I wanted done. The salesman, Gaborik, was helpful in sending a video of the car and pointing out a bonus that hadn't been noted. I had wanted the car delivered to me, but was told they could only deliver 45 miles from the dealership. I luckily have an amazing friend that drove me the 3 + hours it took to get there. Walk through of the tech and car was pretty thorough and, all in all, was a good experience.

I’ve always endured great experiences working with Tim in the service department. He’s knowledgeable, professional, and communicates clearly throughout the entire process. What I appreciate most is how easy he makes everything. Whether it’s routine maintenance or repairs, he keeps me informed and gives the extra effort to provide excellent customer service. On more than one occasion, he has arranged to pick up my vehicle and return it when the work was completed, which saved me time and made the entire process incredibly convenient. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in what he does. Choosing a car and filling out all the paperwork is a lengthy process and Subaru of Rochester did their best to provide water, snacks, a place for our child to play, and anything to make the process go as efficiently as possible. Collins was particularly excellent, he is very professional while being very pleasant as well. I would say affable. This was our third time purchasing a vehicle here, and all three times went rather well, and importantly when things didn't go perfectly, they did well to recover, and being good at that is an important skill they put to great use. Great all around experience, would buy again.

My wife and I came in with our toddler boys on Memorial Day to buy a van. We were there for only a few hours and our experience was great while buying the van. Our salesman was Brandon McGee and he was fantastic to work with. Our van wasn’t fully detailed yet but while we were waiting for the financing to go through we noticed he was out thoroughly cleaning the van and it looked great! After leaving with the van the check engine light came on two days later and we also noticed the rear AC didn’t work. This dealership offers a 7 day warranty and they stood behind it. We got quoted $4000 to fix our $8500 van and this dealership did not hesitate to fix the issues at no cost to us. This was very impressive that they stand behind their word and we couldn’t be happier going through this dealership! Our only “complaint” is we never received call backs when leaving voicemails for the service team.

The car repair down the street couldn't get me in earliest by afternoon. We were packed and ready to head home 3 hours away. Since I drive a Denali, I saw the GMC dealership and thought by chance they definitely would know how to help me. I was correct! The gentleman went above and beyond by changing a fuse and not charging me. He ran many diagnostic tests and made sure we were going to be safe on our travels. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! ( Those "service trailer brakes" alarms are unforgiving.)

Initially, our experience was not very good and we were left extremely disappointed. We were told our vehicle would be ready to pick up and it would be fully detailed and have the glass protection and rust inhibitor applied. When we got there, we were told by our sales person that it was done and the vehicle was detailed. The vehicle was not detailed and was dirty on the inside and outside. I got a phone call from service on the following Monday to set up the appointment to apply the glass protection and rust inhibitor. When i told the person who called we were told it was done already, Instead of checking into it, they said "oh, never mind then." I had to ask them to check into it and it indeed was not done. Once it was done, the glass protection was not buffed out well and my windshield was full of marks or streaks. I had to bring the vehicle back to service a few days later because the android auto was not staying connected to my phone, still. They kept it for the day and never found anything. They asked if they could wash it for me and I said yes. The next day, I noticed what looked like clear coat peeling where water spots were all over the entire vehicle. I was furious, but my husband reminded me the sales person who helped us with our paperwork and our sales person we worked with both told us the bumper-to-bumper coverage included paint and defects. This is our first non-GM vehicle so we trusted what we were told. In fact, the sales person who we worked with for the financing told us their Skip Chip product was worthless and he doesn't sell it or recommend it for anyone. It was a product I was interested in because I drive a lot for work, but we decided against it based on the advice from this guy. A week later I had several chips of paint missing from my hood and the clear coat issue. I was fuming to find out we were deceived. Suddenly this $50,000 investment was something I couldn't stand the sight of because it was always something up to this point and the spots were just the icing on the cake after being lied to. I am a nurse and work from my car. The vehicle was something I purchased for myself to have new, reliable vehicle for all my miles. I was heartbroken and felt taken advantage of and angry. This was the second vehicle we had purchased brand new from the Nissan/GMC dealerships now owned by Penz - our first one was purchased when it was still Lupient - and I was treated like a stupid female and talked down to by the service department every time I went for service and our problem with our terrain was never properly documented and we were tossed around so much that we gave up on trying. I was really starting to regret doing business with them again, but figured it was under new ownership so it has to be different this time. I called Lindsay, one of the sales managers at Penz, as a last ditch effort to try to have my frustrations heard and see what options existed, if any. When I saw her in person the first time, I eventually broke down in tears because I was so gutted by everything. We left that meeting finally feeling heard and listened to and were hopeful. The next day, my husband called me and said he had great news for me. He had talked to Lindsay and they replaced the hood on my Rogue with a brand new one, detailed it thoroughly inside and out, and because we were given misleading information about a product that would be very valuable to me, Penz was covering half the cost of applying the Skip Chip to my front end!! Lindsay, Kevin, and everyone truly went way above and beyond anything we ever could have imagined! My heart is so full with how they listened to me/us and how dedicated they were to making it right!! I will absolutely keep going back there, as long as Lindsay and Kevin stick around!! I get to pick up my Rogue today after a week and a half in a loaner car and I cannot wait!!!

I cannot say enough good things about the service department at GMC in Rochester. My vehicle suffered catastrophic engine failure while I was in Rochester attempting to get to the Mayo Clinic. I live over 3.5 hours away and had only recently purchased the vehicle, so I was extremely stressed and overwhelmed by the situation. What I expected to be a simple repair quickly turned into a nearly 9-week ordeal involving my warranty company and the remanufactured engine company they selected. None of those delays were the fault of the dealership. Throughout the entire process, the service department maintained excellent communication, answered my questions, and treated me with patience and kindness every time I called for updates. They went above and beyond advocating on my behalf and navigating the endless headaches created by the warranty and reman companies. What impressed me most was their honesty and attention to detail. After the replacement engine was installed, they discovered timing issues with the remanufactured engine. Instead of taking shortcuts or sending me down the road in a vehicle that wasn't right, they addressed the problem and made sure everything was repaired correctly. That level of integrity is hard to find. I've dealt with a lot of service departments over the years, and I can honestly say I have never felt more comfortable or confident in a team handling my vehicle repairs. They consistently put my mind at ease during an incredibly stressful situation and made sure I would be getting back a safe and reliable vehicle. Even though I live over three and a half hours away, the next time I'm in the market for a vehicle, I will absolutely consider making the trip to purchase from them. Their professionalism, honesty, and commitment to doing things the right way have earned my trust and my business. Thank you to everyone involved (especially Jason) for going above and beyond. It did not go unnoticed.

We had a great experience at Penz Automotive Group (Subaru) in Rochester, MN. Our sales person was Elliot and he was AMAZING! No high pressure sales…just a genuine interest in what we wanted/needed and a desire to ensure he got us into the right vehicle. It’s now been about a month since our purchase (a 2026 Subaru Forester - Wilderness Edition) so we’ve completed the sale, completed financing, and had our first experience with the parts department (for some add-ons), and Service Center (for installation). It’s the little things that make a big difference and Penz Automotive Group (Subaru) in Rochester leaves no stone unturned. From door attendants who greet you and open the door for you every time you visit, to service center employees who make themselves available to you during their lunch — this place is top notch! If the rest of our ownership experience continues this way, I can confidently say that our first Subaru purchase won’t be our last! Collins was the service writer I worked with, and I am deeply impressed. Subaru begins with a series of questions, pinpointing your tastes, values, and desires. You are guided, not led, through this process. My answers mattered. When other dealerships made me feel poor, unimportant, and like they were doing ME a huge favor, Collins and the team at Rochester Subaru made me feel important, and they assured me that they will help me find a way to meet my needs and desires. They made this not only easy, but enjoyable. They have a great product and an even better team. And fun sidebar: a customer came in to leave them a tub of homemade cookies while I was there. They have, clearly, made an impression on more than just me. Even if you are Subaru-skeptical, I think you should at least shop here once the next time you are looking for a car, just so you know how a customer can and should be treated.
