Excellent customer service!
I really enjoyed my purchase experience with Rochester Nissan. I was able to get a fair price with 0% finance. My Rogue has all the features I was looking for and they had a variety of colors available. My salesperson Jesse was knowledgeable and easy to communicate with.
I had a great experience working with Esad and Jake. Both were helpful and were able to work with me to find a great car at a great price. Would recommend both of them if you want an excellent experience purchasing a new vehicle.

My wife and I came in with our toddler boys on Memorial Day to buy a van. We were there for only a few hours and our experience was great while buying the van. Our salesman was Brandon McGee and he was fantastic to work with. Our van wasn’t fully detailed yet but while we were waiting for the financing to go through we noticed he was out thoroughly cleaning the van and it looked great! After leaving with the van the check engine light came on two days later and we also noticed the rear AC didn’t work. This dealership offers a 7 day warranty and they stood behind it. We got quoted $4000 to fix our $8500 van and this dealership did not hesitate to fix the issues at no cost to us. This was very impressive that they stand behind their word and we couldn’t be happier going through this dealership! Our only “complaint” is we never received call backs when leaving voicemails for the service team.

Quick straightforward and easy
Tim and Greg in the service dept were incredibly helpful and attentive to my situation when I broke down traveling cross country. I was back on the road within a couple hours although I was towed in near the end of the day. Thanks greatly for the service and hospitality.

Great staff they are not there to just sell you a car they are there to build a relationship with the customer and find you a vehicle that will fit your lifestyle and more importantly your budget they are great at problem solving and finding a solution I purchased two vehicles from the Subaru of Rochester we all know buying a new car can be stressful and give a person anxiety they did a fantastic job of making the process exciting and took away any concerns I had the staff there really care about the people in the community I could see that through my experience I would recommend them to anyone that is on a new car journey purchase
The car repair down the street couldn't get me in earliest by afternoon. We were packed and ready to head home 3 hours away. Since I drive a Denali, I saw the GMC dealership and thought by chance they definitely would know how to help me. I was correct! The gentleman went above and beyond by changing a fuse and not charging me. He ran many diagnostic tests and made sure we were going to be safe on our travels. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! ( Those "service trailer brakes" alarms are unforgiving.)
Initially, our experience was not very good and we were left extremely disappointed. We were told our vehicle would be ready to pick up and it would be fully detailed and have the glass protection and rust inhibitor applied. When we got there, we were told by our sales person that it was done and the vehicle was detailed. The vehicle was not detailed and was dirty on the inside and outside. I got a phone call from service on the following Monday to set up the appointment to apply the glass protection and rust inhibitor. When i told the person who called we were told it was done already, Instead of checking into it, they said "oh, never mind then." I had to ask them to check into it and it indeed was not done. Once it was done, the glass protection was not buffed out well and my windshield was full of marks or streaks. I had to bring the vehicle back to service a few days later because the android auto was not staying connected to my phone, still. They kept it for the day and never found anything. They asked if they could wash it for me and I said yes. The next day, I noticed what looked like clear coat peeling where water spots were all over the entire vehicle. I was furious, but my husband reminded me the sales person who helped us with our paperwork and our sales person we worked with both told us the bumper-to-bumper coverage included paint and defects. This is our first non-GM vehicle so we trusted what we were told. In fact, the sales person who we worked with for the financing told us their Skip Chip product was worthless and he doesn't sell it or recommend it for anyone. It was a product I was interested in because I drive a lot for work, but we decided against it based on the advice from this guy. A week later I had several chips of paint missing from my hood and the clear coat issue. I was fuming to find out we were deceived. Suddenly this $50,000 investment was something I couldn't stand the sight of because it was always something up to this point and the spots were just the icing on the cake after being lied to. I am a nurse and work from my car. The vehicle was something I purchased for myself to have new, reliable vehicle for all my miles. I was heartbroken and felt taken advantage of and angry. This was the second vehicle we had purchased brand new from the Nissan/GMC dealerships now owned by Penz - our first one was purchased when it was still Lupient - and I was treated like a stupid female and talked down to by the service department every time I went for service and our problem with our terrain was never properly documented and we were tossed around so much that we gave up on trying. I was really starting to regret doing business with them again, but figured it was under new ownership so it has to be different this time. I called Lindsay, one of the sales managers at Penz, as a last ditch effort to try to have my frustrations heard and see what options existed, if any. When I saw her in person the first time, I eventually broke down in tears because I was so gutted by everything. We left that meeting finally feeling heard and listened to and were hopeful. The next day, my husband called me and said he had great news for me. He had talked to Lindsay and they replaced the hood on my Rogue with a brand new one, detailed it thoroughly inside and out, and because we were given misleading information about a product that would be very valuable to me, Penz was covering half the cost of applying the Skip Chip to my front end!! Lindsay, Kevin, and everyone truly went way above and beyond anything we ever could have imagined! My heart is so full with how they listened to me/us and how dedicated they were to making it right!! I will absolutely keep going back there, as long as Lindsay and Kevin stick around!! I get to pick up my Rogue today after a week and a half in a loaner car and I cannot wait!!!

I worked with Collins at Subaru of Rochester to purchase my new Ascent. He was great and made everything easy! I was in a car accident the evening before purchasing the Ascent. My 2017 Subaru Outback was totaled when a drunk driver hit me. I called Friday morning and told him exactly what vehicle I was interested in. He held it for me until we arrived that afternoon!
We bought a 2026 Subaru Outback in the Touring trim. Brenen M. was our sales representative and he was very knowledgeable as well as helpful. Subaru of Rochester is a very clean, up to date dealership. All the staff was friendly and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a Subaru.

Vanessa, my salesperson, was just fantastic. If all my car buying experiences were like this, it would make the process a little less stressful. The team was truly caring and were adamant that they find the right car for me. Great customer service the following days after my purchase as well. Staying in touch with the customer will bring them back and show them genuine appreciation for their purchase.
They changed the oil & rotated the tires. They kept me updated with things that needed to be done. So, I can schedule them at my convenience. It very nice to have a heads up with needs to keep my car running.

I cannot say enough good things about the service department at GMC in Rochester. My vehicle suffered catastrophic engine failure while I was in Rochester attempting to get to the Mayo Clinic. I live over 3.5 hours away and had only recently purchased the vehicle, so I was extremely stressed and overwhelmed by the situation. What I expected to be a simple repair quickly turned into a nearly 9-week ordeal involving my warranty company and the remanufactured engine company they selected. None of those delays were the fault of the dealership. Throughout the entire process, the service department maintained excellent communication, answered my questions, and treated me with patience and kindness every time I called for updates. They went above and beyond advocating on my behalf and navigating the endless headaches created by the warranty and reman companies. What impressed me most was their honesty and attention to detail. After the replacement engine was installed, they discovered timing issues with the remanufactured engine. Instead of taking shortcuts or sending me down the road in a vehicle that wasn't right, they addressed the problem and made sure everything was repaired correctly. That level of integrity is hard to find. I've dealt with a lot of service departments over the years, and I can honestly say I have never felt more comfortable or confident in a team handling my vehicle repairs. They consistently put my mind at ease during an incredibly stressful situation and made sure I would be getting back a safe and reliable vehicle. Even though I live over three and a half hours away, the next time I'm in the market for a vehicle, I will absolutely consider making the trip to purchase from them. Their professionalism, honesty, and commitment to doing things the right way have earned my trust and my business. Thank you to everyone involved (especially Jason) for going above and beyond. It did not go unnoticed.

He had it washed and right up front for me in 20 minutes when I arrived. Knew his vehicle even though it was not a Subaru and was a great co-pilot during the test drive. I JUST PURCHASED MY THIRD SUBARU FROM PENZ ROCHESTER SUBARU. WE HAD A 2025 OUTBACK AND WE STOPPED IN FOR OUR FREE OIL CHANGE, WHILE WE WERE THEIR WE LOOKED AT THE NEW 2026 VERSION. WE LOVED THE NEW STYLE SO MUCH WE ENDED UP TRADING OURS IN WITH A LOWER INTEREST RATE AND THE PAYMENT ACTUALLY WENT DOWN SOME. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! THE NEW OUTBACK IS AN AMAZING CAR AND WE LOVE IT!! IT'S LIKE A TOTALLY DIFFERENT LUXURY CAR! IF YOU LIKE SUBARU'S I WOULD RECOMMEND STOPPING IN AND CHECKING ONE OUT! THEY TREATED ME SO WELL AND NO PRESSURE. MY WIFE AND I FIGHT OVER WHO GETS TO DRIVE. We had a great experience at Penz Automotive Group (Subaru) in Rochester, MN. Our sales person was Elliot and he was AMAZING! No high pressure sales…just a genuine interest in what we wanted/needed and a desire to ensure he got us into the right vehicle. It’s now been about a month since our purchase (a 2026 Subaru Forester - Wilderness Edition) so we’ve completed the sale, completed financing, and had our first experience with the parts department (for some add-ons), and Service Center (for installation). It’s the little things that make a big difference and Penz Automotive Group (Subaru) in Rochester leaves no stone unturned. From door attendants who greet you and open the door for you every time you visit, to service center employees who make themselves available to you during their lunch — this place is top notch! If the rest of our ownership experience continues this way, I can confidently say that our first Subaru purchase won’t be our last! Collins was the service writer I worked with, and I am deeply impressed. Subaru begins with a series of questions, pinpointing your tastes, values, and desires. You are guided, not led, through this process. My answers mattered. When other dealerships made me feel poor, unimportant, and like they were doing ME a huge favor, Collins and the team at Rochester Subaru made me feel important, and they assured me that they will help me find a way to meet my needs and desires. They made this not only easy, but enjoyable. They have a great product and an even better team. And fun sidebar: a customer came in to leave them a tub of homemade cookies while I was there. They have, clearly, made an impression on more than just me. Even if you are Subaru-skeptical, I think you should at least shop here once the next time you are looking for a car, just so you know how a customer can and should be treated.

Malik and Shawn were awesome to work with! If you're looking for a new nissan, you won't find a better team. Malik spent a good portion of a morning in the rain and on test drives with me. Car shopping can be stressful. But Subaru of Rochester made it a remarkably pleasant experience. The staff we dealt with included Jacob Hansen, Jeremiah Steege, Collins Kiyaga, and Amy Anderson. They were all friendly and professional. Jacob and Collins in Sales patiently explained the features of the 2026 Forester we were interested in. Amy discussed the assistance offered to learn about all the technology that comes with vehicles these days. Finally, Jeremiah went through all of the optional protection packages and processed our paperwork efficiently. Unlike many dealers, Jacob at Subaru of Rochester immediately provided us with the out-the-door price via email before we drove the two hours to Rochester. Also, there were no forced dealer add-ons, which still happens at other dealers. Getting the OTD price and no forced add-ons were HUGE to us! If you're looking for a vehicle, we highly recommend Subaru of Rochester. They earned our business with the perfect balance of promoting their products, but with a low-pressure approach. Great job to all!

They were so awesome to work with and put me at ease. They delivered my vehicle and made it easy to communicate via text because phone calls don't work with my job. We also got a lifetime warranty for our Subaru. If we get another Subaru down the road, we would definitely go to them again.

Recently traveling through the area with my family when a transmission cooler line failed on my 2500HD, leaving us stranded on a Saturday. Tim, in service, made room to get us in. He verified they had the part in stock and called service tech, Jacob, who came in to do the replacement on his day off! Worked past closing hours and got us back on the road the same day! I don't normally have my 2019 Subaru Forester serviced by Rochester Subaru. But this was something that was covered by an Extended Warranty. I am very pleased with the service I received. I was treated like a human being as opposed to a number and "one more job we have to get done today." John in the service department was especially helpful - getting me a loaner car since the job was going to take all day. They recommended two other service items but I was not prepared to do them so I said no thanks. That was the end of it, no pressure, no BS about the car blowing up the minute I drove it off the lot if they didn't fix those other items. They said the work would be covered by the extended warranty and it was. There was no "surprise" you do have to pay postage on the parts or something equally ridiculous. I would highly recommend Rochester Subaru service.

Our check engine light started blinking before we could get our friend to his Mayo appointment (Danger Will Robinson!), but we couldn't stop and make it to his appointment on time. As soon as the GMC office opened I called and started making arrangements for service. They recommended Rochester Towing (it did take awhile. They were busy!) but the driver was very nice and gave me a ride to the dealership. Everyone there on Jason's crew was super nice! Recognized I was stressed about the situation and went out of their way to be accommodating, thoughtful and kind. Their shuttle service (Thank you, Ken!) picked up my husband and friend at Mayo after his afternoon appointment and brought them to the service area. Everybody was very congenial and helpful. You do need more than one person who does the final sales pitch, signing papers, and accepting payment. Granted, we had a longer wait than what is usual, but you should have someone else who can also do this part. We had to wait over two and a half hours to do the final step before we were completely finished and could leave.

Got to work with Elliot last week. He was helpful without being pushy and was able to get me a fair value on my trade in and got me into a nice 2024 Crosstrek. The whole process was pretty easy and Elliot was responsive to questions. If I had to complain about anything, I guess an owners manual and a full tank of gas when I picked it up would have been nice, but those are pretty minor things in my opinion. I wouldn't hesitate to do more business here in the future. *Edit* The owners manual actually shipped to my house a few days after I took the car, so that's pretty cool. Thanks again!

I used to go to Dahl Subaru in La,Crosse because it is close, but after a few bad experiences I go to Penz. They take care of everything like its supposed to be. It is worth the extra hour of travel for me to go to Roch. And be taken care of like a proper subaru owner. Thanks Penz team.
On 01-10-26 I took our Yukon 2015 to check a new noise I heard the night before; I was told it was not recommended to keep driving the vehicle ! In a matter of 3 hours we were able to get a new Yukon Elevation 2026. I have to thanks the Certified Service Advisor Louie Don for his help to quickly diagnose the problem; Many thanks to the Certified Sales Professional Ian Bergstrom for all his advise and help to choose the new car we wanted; we are very grateful to the Finance Manager for all his effort for us to get the new Yukon after just 3 hours, and finally thanks to the staff of the Shuttle Service for their help to take me back and forth from the dealership to our home and back to the dealership. Thanks to GMC for having such as great group of people working together !
I was nervous at first, buying a nicer truck when everything seems to be more expensive. They listened, worked with me, looked at several options for financing, and never pressured me throughout the entire process. I included some preventative services with the truck I purchased and the service dept was kind, quick, thorough, and accommodating! Plus, my truck looked amazing inside and out even after dropping it off with ice and salt on it. I love my truck, and though it's the most expensive vehicle I've ever purchased, the entire positive experience made it easier to quickly transition just really enjoying the new-to-me vehicle.
